Back home ...
Fyne Spirit will be relocated back to Scotland for the second part of the conversion. Now we will concentrate on the inside of the ship. First bulkheads and plumbing will be the order of the day. Then the carpenters will continue on the crew accommodation and the bridge. Also work in the galley will proceed.

Clyde & Bute Classics : Inveraray – Campbeltown – Portpatrick – Isle of Arran – Great Cumbrae – Isle of Bute – Arrochar – Tighnabruaich – Inveraray

With the Isle of Islay we came to the end of our Hebrides Classic itinerary. We left from Inveraray and went to Gigha Island, Crinan, Oban, Glencoe, Isle of Mull, Staffa, Iona and Isle of Islay.
Our second itinerary, Clyde & Bute Classic, will take our guests to another interesting area at the west coast of Scotland. Again from Inveraray, Fyne Spirit will take you to Campbeltown, Portpatrick, Isle of Arran, Great Cumbrae, Isle of Bute, Arrochar and Tighnabruaich.   The first stop on this route will be Campbeltown. This port has the following to offer:
Campbeltown Heritage Centre
This centre displays information and artifacts showing the history of Kintyre and its people; it also runs a programme of events and demonstrations. Exhibits include a working model of the former Campbeltown/Machrihanish light railway and three historical murals by local artist Pat Nugent.
Springbank distillery
One of the only Scottish distilleries that still distils, matures and bottles all its whisky on one site.
The Campbeltown museum
The museum has displays on geology, culture and archaeology, though the building itself is the most interesting bit.
Cave painting
The cave painting of the Crucifixion by local artist Archibald Mackinnon, painted in 1887, is located on the southern side of the island of Davaar, at the mounth of Campbeltown Loch, 2 miles east of town.
